Considering I am usually quite punctual, I am rather late to the party with this polish. Like a year late! I know you’ll have seen it all over a gazillion blogs, but you haven’t seen it here yet, so here we go. Firstly, I’d like to thank Kelly from Vampy Varnish for sending this my way. Kelly and I are now on to our third swap.
And I know I still have stuff from the first swap we did that is still unblogged. It’s all in the pipeline though!
Hang on to your hats. Space Cadet is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It gleams. If you are into duochromes then this is an absolute Must Have. It is a glorious mix of purple, gold, green and silver. It flashes different colours depending on which way you turn your hand, and is really rather impressive.
As I look at my hands on the keyboard now, the tips of my nails appear to be a goldy green, and the bottoms of them, near the cuticles are a silvery lavender.
The application of this was interesting. The first coat was like the most sheer, watery green you can ever imagine, with a hint of purple and gold shimmer. Very strange. But then, thankfully, it layered up quite fast. What you see here is three coats.

Oh and before I forget, removal was not too bad. Sure, Space Cadet tried to eat the cotton wool pads I was using, but ither than that, considering the amount of metallic shimmer this contains, it was surprisingly easy.
I wore this to a friend’s baby shower back in October, and got several compliments on it. I was pleased I chose this polish to wear, as the baby shower was a 6 hour round trip so at least I had something cool to ogle as I was driving. I mean, sorry, I was fully focussed on the road and didn’t once get distracted by how awesome my triochromatic (I just made that word up) looked in the Autumn sunshine.

Wear was fair to medium – this went three days before the tipwear kicked in.
So what do you think? I can genuinely say that I don’t have anything else remotely like this in my collection and I really like it.

Space Cadet is such a fabulous nail polish. I wish it would be a bot more opaque though. Last time it still wasn’t opaque after four coats on pictures. 🙁
I have the MAC version of this and I love it! I’ll have to dig mine out, I think I’ve only worn it once.
One of my favorite polishes. Be careful when your driving with such a beauty on your nails!
I have the Accessorize version of this, which is awesome. In fact, all of their ‘Illusion’ duo/triochrome (excellent new wordage there) polishes are awesome. And only four pounds, and in Superdrug. Sorry Orly schmorly, I’m going high street.
