The other day, Sheenie told you all about the new collaboration between Nails Inc and Fabulous magazine. I’ve now got some swatches of the polishes that can be yours merely by collecting three tokens from the News of the World newspaper and presenting them at your local Tesco. (read more here).
First up, Atomic. Orange nail varnish doesn’t seem to be going anywhere just yet, does it? Atomic is a bright and juicy orange creme. It applied a little bit streaky but levelled itself out after two coats. It’s ridiculously flattering actually, although my nails need a good old chop (which I’ve now done).
OMP! (which stands for On My Pink!) is absolutely glorious. The perfect raspberry creme shade, this was almost done in one coat, but I ended up doing two just to even it out. This is bright, vibrant and really very pretty. I am sure I have a few dupes for this but it’s still very welcome in my collection.
What do you think? I admit that the design of the Nails Inc bottles give me a headache, but actually, the cheaper grey lids/handles were easier to work with than the normal shiny caps. Still not the easiest if you’re a bit ham-fisted though.
Having said that, I really recommend these polishes though. They’re nicely packaged and the colours are absolutely perfect for summer, and I was rather impressed with how opaque they are. Now, if only we could collect three tokens and pick up some summer sunshine from Tesco at the same time!
