OPI Call My M-Agenta

So, a couple of days ago, I showed you No Autographs Please, from OPI’s Holiday In Hollywood collection. I actually really loved playing with this collection as I have a real Achilles heel for bright reds and shimmery shades, and this collection definitely caters to that.

Here we have the fabulously named Call My M-agent-a. Sometimes OPI’s names are a tad silly butthat doesn’t mean I don’t love them any less.

This is an absolute beauty, isn’t it? Just look at the glow! It is shimmery and almost squidgy looking, as it is quite a thin jelly. This did require a few coats, I think you’re looking at four here, but this could easily be layered over a red or pink creme and get the same result with slightly less effort.

It’s a shame that this is so hard to find now. I know it’s relatively easily dupeable and there are a million red shimmers out there but I like this one for treading the fine line between pink and red, and having that gorgeous inbuilt glowy shimmer. I know this was part of a festive release, but I confess to wearing this one all year round.

What do you think? What’s your favourite red shimmer?

  1. Gah! It’s not even remotely magenta! Why didn’t they make it magenta if they were going to call it magenta???

OK, red shimmers. Haven’t worn red for aeons. If I’m going to wear red then I want a creme but I am so unfussed about red on myself…

  2. Reds look so great on you.

I actually think they suit everyone but we nail snobs do tend to avoid them, don’t we?

Fave red shimmer? Well, the 2true Crystal Shade 2 I’m wearing at the moment is a great polish. I know you’ve tried 2true and may even have this. You can’t really go wrong with a red shimmer once you overcome your inner snob.

  3. I love this colour! I think I need to start getting a few ot these old Holiday ones, they’re right up my street. These sort of colours always look great on you.

  4. Silly name, but a great colour. My fave red shimmer would have to be OPI An Affair in Red Square but I haven’t wore red in months! Maybe I should break it out…
