Do not adjust your screen settings. You are looking at Illamasqua’s neon pink Collide and it really is that eye-catching.

This was one of the lacquers kindly sent to me by Illamasqua a few weeks ago and it turned a few heads. The girl at the reception desk at my gym gasped, “Oh my God! Your nails!” before she composed herself to assist with renewing my membership. Yeah, I have had a few stunned looks from people.
This is my first time trying Illamasqua’s nail polishes but I already had some preconceived knowledge of application and quality from Helen’s experiences.
In short, Collide is a creme polish that is effortless to apply and leaves you with a smooth, satin finish. It’s thick enough to be opaque in one coat although I went for two. Dry in no time, a top coat was not required and to be honest, would have been a mistake. Collide is better left as it is. Don’t taint it with the shiny gloss finish.
This bubblegum hot pink is not going to be to everyone’s liking but then again, there is no such thing as a comfort zone when it comes to Illamasqua. This would have been perfect for the 80s themed birthday party I went to last summer although I had no qualms about painting this on my nails for a normal day at work. And I got away with it. Come to think of it, can anyone recommend me a great hot pink lipstick, please? Perhaps Collide might be one for the beach holiday, ladies? It’d look amazing on the toes…
Collide retails for £13 in the UK and is available to buy online or in Selfridges stores.
Sheenie
Sheenie, what a great looking neon pink. I must confess that I have a love hate relationship with neons. I love them in the bottle, and on other people. Yet when I wear them I feel they look awful on me…lol! Silly,I know! Anyway, I did bookmark your new web address, and changed it on my blog too. Take care ladies.
Congrats on your new blog !!! Everything looks good here, I really love it and I wish you lots of happy moments here !
And also, I love this pink :-)))
Thank you Velvet and Tuli. I’ve sampled a few neon colours and Illamasqua is by far the most superior in quality and it’s long-lasting. Well, it should be for £13. 😉
Thank you also for the feedback on JNT’s make-over. x
Love the new blog look. Things look brighter here. Very pretty pink on you. I wear dark polish most times. There are those days when I want a nice hot pink. This is a pretty one.
This is my HG varnish..i keep blogging about it because its just summer in a tube!! LOVE IT!
Love it! I love cremes and whilst I don’t like “wishy washy” pinks I am quite partial, on occasion, to a hotty!!!
Congrats on the big move…..I’m off to explore!
Thank you Tali and Liz. It’s so cold and dull at the moment that a shade like this makes you feel warm and fuzzy. 🙂
I don’t have this yet, I have their other bright pink which I love (the name escapes me, it the more blue pink one) but I definitely want this as well! Have you tried their lipsticks? They have a couple of bright pinks that are gorgeous.
Quite liking that but prefer my GOSH flamingo
LOVE it. WANT it!
