Ciate Twilight

Read Time:1 Minute, 24 Second

So, the new film in the Twilight series is due to be hitting our screens at some point in the next few days. So what better time to review Ciate’s polish of the same name?

Twilight (the nail polish) is deep and dark. And it is jam-packed with golden shimmer that in some lights makes the blackened base appear more green and almost antique gold. I’ve seen this effect before with the likes of China Glaze Wagon Trail, and various other blackened shades, and what I really like about the Ciate is that the base doesn’t just swallow up the shimmery pieces – it stands out nicely from the nail.

This is uber thick and actually covered in one coat. Seriously impressive. I do rather like Ciate’s brushes as they are square, flat, and distribute the nail varnish perfectly on my rather spade-like nails. The wear was excellent as well – this lasted me a good two or three days before starting to look a little tired.

The photographs don’t really do this one justice I am afraid. One of the occupational hazards about blogging about nail polish is that you are forever trying to catch decent pockets of daylight in order to capture your photos. Obviously it was dark and rainy when I wanted to snap Twilight and I’ve had to resort to some electric lighting. Sorry about that, folks.

What do you think? Is this vampy enough for you this Halloween? And are you excited about the new Twilight film? I’m looking forward to seeing it, even if I fear that Renesmee might make me want to lob my popcorn at the screen…

  1. Really like that polish. I don’t own any of this brand. Don’t think I’m about to start buying it either. I have so much now! I’ll wait till this Twilight movie comes on my cable channel. I am looking forward to seeing it.
