Invitation from Last Tuesday Society and Illamasqua

Last night London town played host to a Halloween party with a twist.  Last Tuesday Society and Illamasqua joined forces to put on a spectacular party in the underground tunnels of the Strand.  Seriously, I had no idea such a secret place existed – it looked like a typical Georgian house from outside!

As it was a masquerade ball, I pulled out my finest gown and painted my own mask (all the masks in the fancy dress shops were too big for my face!).

It was a very quick job and I wished I had more time and patience to individually stick more rhinestones on my face but I was pleased it held up through the night.  I used Mac’s Fluidline Eyeliner Gel in Black Track as a base as well as Illamasqua’s cream pigment in Depravity before adding various Illamasqua pigments, which worked amazingly well, and finished off with a pair of Illamasqua’s false lashes in Grandeur from the Theatre of the Nameless collection.  New purple hair and cut is the work of Billie and Georgia at The Chapel (thanks, ladies!)

The night featured a host of entertainment (my favourite was the French outfit Mac Abbe et le Zombie Orchestra), dancing lessons, a chocolate fountain, pole dancing, lots of secret haunts and probably excessive debauchery.  Definitely not for the prudish…  Thankfully I bumped into a couple of familiar faces including the gorgeous Tali of The Gloss Goss.  Do check out her post on the party and her outfit too.

Thank you to Illamasqua for inviting me to this awesome party and for giving me an excuse to play around with my make-up.  Did you dress up for Halloween this weekend?
