A few weeks ago, I told you I had an 80s theme birthday party to get dressed up for.  How quickly time flies because the do happened yesterday and now I feel quite sad it’s all over.

I loved my outfit so much that I fell asleep in it but I did remember to take my six inch heels off and the precious tutu skirt.  I still have the nail colour on my talons and I went for Barry M’s Fuchsia Pink, which I picked up from the shops only yesterday.

I steered clear of Acid Yellow and settled for this Barbie doll-esque pink.  I just can’t imagine my nails in bright yellow – it would make me look like I’m a heavy chain-smoker.  Any way!  I was bowled over by the prettiness of this shade and how appealing Barry M’s range of these dolly mixture colours are.  They’re perfect for what’s left of the summer and of course they are so cheap.

And as so many of you asked just how I ended up looking on the night…

  1. I love that shade, Helen actually got it for me 🙂 Looks great on you and you and your outfit look fantastic. Love how the earrings tie into everything.

  2. Excellent stuff! I bought a green one too (Spring Green) which I can’t wait to try. I’m going to try and see if I can wear this outfit on a normal night out – thank you for the compliment.

  3. Sheenie you look adorable! You can wear the outfit again, just not those fingerless gloves! Matched you earrings to the polish? Looks really cute. Love that polish, it’s very pretty on you. You forgot to show your heels! I’d love to see a picture of all your shoes. I love heels but can’t wear them. I just have to love them from afar.

  4. But Lucy, the fingerless gloves are the best thing! I love them so much – I feel like Madonna circa Holiday/Desperately Seeking Susan era! I shall deliver the shoes photos (and the eyeshadows too!) x

  5. Where’d you get the cool earrings? I bought some tights in that shade of pink last time I went to an 80s party and have reused them shamefully often!

  6. You look so cute! I remember the 80’s…lol! Wearing,”flats” and guess jeans with zippers at the ankles…lol! That’s a nice hot pink nail polish. I’m sucker for that shade of pink.

  7. I LOVE your outfit! You look fantastic. I like the gloves – Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan was such a style icon.
