An Illamasqua Haul

Read Time:1 Minute, 0 Second

Look what I got today!

Nice things that I ordered from Illamasqua. Even though I am now thinking in terms of “how much does this make-up cost and how much is my honeymoon / dress / cake going to cost?” I am afraid to say that Illamasqua is the one brand that I cannot resist.

I am still waiting for the silver liquid metal to arrive, and also I understand that my three core range nail polishes that I won from the contest will be on the way soon, but in the meantime, this is definitely more than enough to be going on with.

Hurrah! This is a lovely little haul and I absolutely cannot wait to try it all out! Makes Monday morning just that much easier to cope with!

  1. It is gorgeous – it looks kind of similar to OPI’s Parlez-Vous OPI? though. We shall see.

I was shocked my my reaction to Obsess though – I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do – it is absolutely stunning and so bright – love it!

  2. The polishes are very similar to two in a set of sweet petites that Leighton Denny does too!

I have found the perfect work colour in my stash of cheapy varnishes….Rimmel Professional Range….10 day manicure in Apricot Pop…its not red, its not pink, its not orange, its not coral its just somewhere in there! It has lycra and minerals in it and at the end of two days its still shiny, unchipped and looking good!!!

  3. What gorgeous colors you’ve picked. I know you need to save money for your wedding but it’s beautiful makeup and polish! How can you not resist? Every time I want to get the polishes at Sephora they’re on backorder! Frustrating. Now I need to have some makeup photos. Those polishes are lovely.

  4. I recieved Velocity and it is almost exact dupe of Parlez-vous opi but definitely better coverage and application. Velocity has more pinkier base sadly only I can see it . My friend told me why I bought same colour…
And of course I want Obsess so much! And pink palette seems perfect for me.
I“d love to see your swatches.

  5. Hi Day,

I think I shall be giving Obsess a whirl tonight… or Velocity…argh, too much to choose from!
I have bought backups of PVO so I’m not overly worried about it being similar as I love the colour. And a subtle difference is enough of a difference, in my opinion!
I’ll try and do a side-by-side comparison at some point over the week.

By the way, I tried to click on your blog link and it wouldnt work šŸ™

  6. Ahh I am doing ok about resisting thanks to the lovely swaps I have been getting šŸ™‚

I’d love to know which Illamasquas you have in mind. I heard that they have had to increase their stock x 4 due to the incredible rush for it in the US.
