I sometimes feel bad that you don’t get to see a lot of green nail varnishes here on Just Nice Things. It’s not that I don’t like it or anything, in fact, I have a whole heap of greens in my untrieds, so I may have to do a “green
special” at some point in the not too distant.
I just don’t have as much of a dominant “green gene” as some other bloggers. However, this is pretty awesome polish, and one that I won in July when I entered a competition that Zoya were having on Twitter.
I had literally just been bemoaning the fact that I did not have enough Zoya in my life and then a contest popped up to predict the winners of the World Cup. And lo and behold, I won! Amazing really – seeing as my interest in football is only marginally more than my interest in watching paint dry.
So, here we have Edyta, all the way from Zoya HQ. Part of the Autumn “Wicked” collection that you will no doubt have seen on many other blogs, Edyta is a foily forest green with a whole heap of gold mixed in. I like it because although it is obviously
a green, it’s not overly bright or “look at me” and I feel that I can get away with it for work. Bear in mind that my office is more tolerant than most though.
Application was absolutely marvellous. I did two coats but could probably have got away with one. It is pigmented, rich and thick. Drying time was a little on the slow side for what is essentially a metallic polish but it wasn’t anything serious. It also played very nicely with OPI’s Rapidry Topcoat which I was pleased about as I’ve ruined so many foil manicures by trying to add a layer of topcoat too soon.
I adore Zoya’s formula by the way. It sticks to me like glue and I think it’s the hardest wearing, best performing polish I have ever used. High praise indeed.
So what do you think? I think this is a perfect Autumn colour, and it brings with it that sense of satisfaction of “I have nothing like this in my collection” so to me that’s always a win, as Autumn to a lot of polish companies just means the same old re-release of berry and aubergine cremes.

This is one of the nicest pix I’ve seen of this polish. You’ve shown some real crackers recently and this too is VERY flattering.
I think this looks lovely on you, it’s quite unusual but as you say, very wearable. I thik the only polish From that collection I really want is Julieanne, but I may skip ot altogether.
Ive never worked in an office where certain shades of nail polish would be frowned upon! Even though I work in a very serious industr, I can wear any make up I please (or at least I’ve never been told otherwise!)
damn this looks great on you! one of my fav. zoyas ever!
Make me think Halloween !
Oh my, a little too olive. Don’t like this shade at all. It is a fall color indeed but I just don’t care for the shade. Reminds me of when you mixed colors (paints) as a child and got these strange looking brown or green colors that could not be categorized!
That is gorgeous! I want this! Where do I even begin to find it? I’ve never tried Zoya polishes but have always wanted to.
I’m one of the green crazies! Love Edyta and that metallic/foil beauty. Yet I haven’t ordered it. Must remedy that soon. Ive spent a fortune on polish this month. For some reason I had extra cash to spend this month. So, what’s a girl to do but buy more polish! This looks so gorgeous on you. I wish my nails would get long again. My left hand has nubbins and the right is longer. Crazy since I’m right handed. Have you gotten your wedding photos back yet? Are you going to share any, pretty please?
ooooh love this a totally me kind o colour
Wow, this is really gorgeous on you! No shocker though, I think I want this polish the most from that collection.
Jenni – Thankyou! I’m glad you’re enjoying what we’re reviewing at the moment. There’s some good stuff coming up too, even if I do say so myself!
Andrea – Julieanne is ok – not as glittery as some of the photos seem to make it. I prefer the look of Mimi. I’ll review Julieanne for you asap so you can see what you think
Kellie – Thankyou! It’s awesome isnt it?
Helen – ooh yes, perhaps I should have saved this one for later in the year!
Beth – I agree, it’s not to everyone’s taste. The mixed up look is something I like about it but I totally get why it might not be your thing.
Sheenie – I hope you get yout hands on it soon!
Lucy – I’d love to see your stash! I have the wedding photos but I need to sort them out. It’s on the agenda for when I actually have a free afternoon. I promise I’ll post some when I have organised and uploaded them.
Britny – I thought you’d like it 🙂
Nikki – It’s an almost-perfect collection. I am absolutely in love with the reds from it as well.
