It doesn’t feel like too long since I did one of these but seeing as so many people have been kind enough to tag us for this award, it would be rude not to dredge up another ten facts for you!
1) I think I have a mild case of OCD relating to the car handbrake and lights (on and off, respectively), hair straighteners, bathroom heater, and locking the front door.
2) I go to the dentist three times a year and have no fillings as a result. When I was a child my parents made a pact with me that if I hit 16 with no fillings in my teeth, they’d give me £100. I asked them last year if I’d get £200 when I got to 32 with no fillings, but so far no response. Pesky tooth fairy.
3) I cannot imagine a life without a pet cat.
4) I really have to force myself to wear colour. My entire wardrobe is pretty much black, white, cream and brown.
5) I got chronic food poisoning from some dodgy hummous a decade ago and still cannot be in the same room as it. Ten years later and I came home from a weekend away to find some in our fridge and just the sight of it there made me throw up.
6) I was the weird kid in the school dinner queue who didn’t like chips (fries). That has now changed significantly, not that my waistline is grateful.
7) My favourite Shakespeare play is King Lear.
8 ) I applied to Oxford University when I was 18 and had an interview there but didn’t get in. At the time it was the worst tragedy known to mankind but in hindsight I’m glad.
9) I’m crap at housework (but good at making sure appliances are turned off!) so it’s lucky I’m marrying a man who is handy with a hoover.
10) I have just noticed a lot of these are about food! Oh well, for good measure (and some of you know this already…I hate tea. And cake. But I love prawns! hehe.

Hello Helen! It feels like ages since I’ve been on-line…lol! This was so nice to read,and you’ve caused me to smile and laugh as usual! I think I have OCD when it comes to keys and locks. I make sure I have keys for whatever doors are locked….lol! I check constantly to see if I have my keys. I’m not about to be locked out….lol!
Helen, you don’t like cake either. Oh yes you are weird, besides the tea no cake. I’ve never had food poisoning. It must be horrible. I won’t mention that stuff. I’ve never had hummus, oh sorry. That’s amazing that you don’t have cavities. Congrats! I’ve never read any Shakespeare plays. I’ve always meant to. A man with a Hoover is a good thing to have.
