Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser - Just Nice Things

Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser

Read Time:2 Minute, 32 Second

It’s the season to be fuzz-free and as we all scratch our heads quizzically and figure out whether we want to reach for the razor blade, get sticky with the wax or be tazered by the laser gun, one new product on the market which won’t nip at the follicles is Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser.

Now here’s an interesting product if ever I saw one. It’s a moisturiser which contains a dermalogically tested ingredient called “Prominimise”, to noticeably reduce the appearance of hair re-growth and prolong the smoothness of just having shaved for a little bit longer. Containing natural botanical ingredients (and probably some other stuff too), ProMinimise supposedly slows down hair follicle activity and therefore the appearance of hair growing back.

Veet claims you will see noticeable results in two weeks so I took the challenge of applying the lotion to my legs for 14 days.  The result is difficult to tell with me personally as the growth on my hair has slowed down considerably over the years.  I’m not sure if that’s down to age or having a couple of laser hair removal treatments, or a combination of both.  I no longer wax but shave once or twice a week (as opposed to daily years ago) and the growth is very minimal and fine.

Hair removing expert Arezoo Kaviani, whom I visited recently for a bikini wax, swears by this product, adding “I have used this product myself and on some clients, I was surprised by the results and it really works.  After just a few weeks, you will notice that your legs feel super soft and you won’t have to shave as often.”

What I do find amazing is as a moisturiser Veet scores highly.  The scent is gorgeous but best of all, it leaves my legs with a silky, sheen finish.  You know how some body lotions are too greasy and subsequently leave grease marks on your clothes and bed sheets?  Veet’s Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser absorbs into the skin almost instantly so you can get dressed straight away and it’s been proven to hydrate the skin for up to 24 hours.

While my hair regrowth is sparse, I am really enjoying using this minimiser product.  It encourages me to moisturise regularly (something I am guilty of not doing), doesn’t leave a greasy residue and in the long run, I could be slowing down the hair growth.  And with the fine reputation of Veet, you know you can put your trust in them.  I rate their wax strips above any other brand so I expect nothing less in standard from other Veet products.  The moisturiser is safe to use on the bikini area too and regardless of which method you use to remove body hair.

Available in two different formulations – Sensitive Skin With Vitamin E, or Dry Skin with Aloe Vera – Veet’s Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser can be found in nationwide Boots stores and retails at £4.99 for 250ml.
