Orly Razzle

I have a huge soft spot for the film “Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion”. Why? I don’t know. It must be the Oscar-worthy script, acting and moral message *coughs*. Seriously though, I do love this film. Since taking up residence with a boy, I haven’t been able to give this its annual spin in the DVD player, and for that, I am sad. Time to rectify that I think.

So, when it came to my own school reunion a couple of months ago, it was funny as I was all sorted for what I was going to wear clothes-wise, but I had no idea of what nail varnish to wear. So, as per pretty much everything in my life, my friends on Twitter came to my rescue. They told me it had to be red! And I agree, there are certain occasions when only red will do. Like going into battle.

It’s not a red-red but Orly Razzle just fell into my hand as I was looking through the red section of my stash. It’s a stunner alright. This was sent to me last year by the wonderful Nixxy who I know was devastated at parting with this beauty, but was no longer able to wear it herself due to her allergy to formaldehyde resin. On a side note, Nixxy is planning a trip to the UK in September and I am extremely excited about meeting her!

So. The only other Orly I have used was a very thick creme polish (see here) so I was excited to try uot more of a jelly.

Application was great. This did require three coats to eliminate the visible nail line but it dried fast and the finish was perfect.

I can’t really comment on the wear though as the next day I spent wallowing around in a spa, and sadly Razzle wasn’t really up to coping with being waterlogged and sauna’d.

Razzle is a very pink toned red that is absolutely packed full of silver shimmer. It is really very pretty and I don’t have a bad word to say about it.

A gift from a fellow blogger that applies beautifully, looks awesome and made me feel confident at attending a school reunion? Perfect.

  1. I’m yet to try an Orly, though some of the new ones have me interested. This was a great choice, really pretty for when you don’t want a standard red, and it really suits you.
