Some photos from the vault here I’m afraid. I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to get around to posting this polish as it is absolutely gorgeous. This was released last autumn as part of Orly’s FX collection, a range of foil polishes in varying bright and vibrant hues.
Surprisingly, this one went on rather sheer and took a few coats to build up.
This is quite unusual for foils I think as I usually lean towards one of them if I’m in need of a quick and easy manicure, but this one took a while.
The top photo was taken under electric light and is definitely more representative of the PR photos of this shade. At first I was super excited as I thought it was going to be a pure red foil, but in real life it looks a lot more how it does on the right here, a mix of orange and pink.
Emberstone is really pretty and unusual and certainly like nothing else that I have in my collection. I always get compliments whenever I wear it. However, I have to say that I don’t wear it all that often, as sadly, I find it to be seriously chippy. I literally cannot keep it on my nails for longer than a day, no matter what I do, no matter what base or topcoat I use. *sad face*. I might try layering it over a co-ordinating base colour next time, as it really is a lovely shade.
Do you have any Orly foils?

Useful review as I got this in a competition. I shall layer it. Thanks.
This reminds me of Tizer – a really fabulous fizzy orangey colour, lovely.
