Regular readers will know about my fascination with older or discontinued OPI polishes. Like a moth to a flame (only marginally less dangerous), I can’t resist a lot of these beauties.
It turns out that there are two Sugarplum Yum polishes, both by OPI and often seen or sold as a pair. One is a spangly lilac and silver glitter, and this is, well, the other one. It looks like an opal. Beautifully multifaceted mix of lilac and delicate pink, this is totally girly but yet I really love it. It’s no great shock that I love it really, it is from a festive collection after all (Victorian Holiday, 2002).
Like a lot of older formula OPI (especially these duochromatic jellies), Sugarplum Yum is really
rather sheer. You’re seeing three coats here over a base of something co-ordinating – I can’t remember what but I would have picked something like RBL’s Concrete Jungle.
I love it. Do I even need to give you any more words when you can see from the photos just how scrumptious this is? In fact, every time I look at these photos I can’t stop smiling. Again, this is another one of those polishes that I didnt even know I wanted, but now I have it in my grasp, I’m never letting it go!

Beautiful polish! I can understand your fascination with older or htf OPI polishes, I’ve recently bought 4 OPI DS polishes myself 😀
Swooooon.. This is just my cup of tea. Reminds me of a lovely Misa I have. Love it.
Wow, that colour is gorgeous!
That is so gorgeous! So it’s not available anymore? 🙁
You can buy this color @ VIctoria Nail Supply for about $7. I got mine on e(vil)bay for 3x the price…don’t make the same mistake I did! X.
That colour is amazing, wonder if I can get it from ebay 🙂 Jude xx @jadlgw

This is really pretty. I’ve never seen this swatched before.
This is really pretty, I’ll be looking out for it!
