A little while ago, I had what was basically referred to as an accident. An accident that involved my credit card, and the entire OPI British collection that a US seller was flogging off at a bargain basement price. There were a
couple of shades I really wanted to try from this collection, and the rest I figured were “nice to haves”. And I admit it, the lure of owning a 100% discontinued collection was too much for me to withstand.
Fee Fi Fo Plum is the first one that I have tried out from my Haul. And isn’t it a beauty? I absolutely love this and it
definitely lived up to my expectations. This is old formula OPI and just utter perfection in a bottle. This was opaque in two coats but I did three just to make sure. I did have a little bit of pooling that stained one of my fingers but unfortunately I didn’t notice that til I was uploading these photos. Old formula OPI is ever so slightly faster in the runny department.
This absolutely gleams and shines and almost looks chromey. It wore like iron and I enjoyed every moment of wearing this. It’s a perfect piece of work appropriate loveliness. Not the most innovative or exciting but then not everything has to be. Oh, and I love the name.
So yes, Fee Fi Fo Plum has a definite place in my collection. Mauve frosty shades do call to me, especially if they are discontinued or hard to find! This has close bedfellows in Catherine The Grape, Yankee Pankee Plum and The Grape Lakes but that doesn’t mean that I don’t need and love this one.
What are your thoughts?
Helen
By the way, if any of you are feeling spendy, I have a blog sale up and running – please check it out here. Lots of nail varnish and makeup at bargain basement prices.
An amazing colour.
Pretty shade on you. I think I came across this some time ago. Should have bought it, darn!
I really like this one. It reminds me of another OPI but I can’t think which one!
