Now, we haven’t done a Preciousss Slink for a while, have we? But this polish is definitely deserving of one.
Midnight In Moscow is, unsurprisingly, from OPI’s Russian Collection. Sometimes I get really mad at myself. There is so much nail varnish in my stash now that things I buy often get put in my untried section and remain there for ages. Yes, I have items from swap parcels that are coming up for six months old. I’m not being ungrateful, there just aren’t enough hours in the day.
Also, when you rediscover a gem of an item like this, it’s like having something new, and quashes that shopping itch for a little while. I’ve had Midnight In Moscow in my untrieds for over a year now and am giving myself bruises on my shins for not having tried it sooner.
Look how pretty it is. To all of you that went head over heels for OPI’s Black Cherry Chutney, I have bad news for you. I like this one better. A lot better.
It’s the same principle – a blackened aubergine polish with red shimmer. Very pretty indeed, and always guaranteed to get noticed. The top photo is under indoor artificial light, and the one above is in natural outdoor light.
Application was great – this was three coats just to bring out the shimmer, but those with shorter nails could make do with two.
Once again, OPI has outdone itself with this shade. I haven’t found one of the Russian Collection that I don’t like yet. I love the way it glows like coal embers, perfect for a winter’s day.

This is one of my favourires from the Russian collection. Actually, I was wearing this one last week, we seem to have the same taste at the moment! I love how this one looks in different lights, it really glows.
I really like this one, it’s definitely very seasonal!
It looks very different in the 2 photos. Amazing! Any polish with “Midnight” in the name ought to be good…
This is a beautiful color and it really fits the cold and cloudy day we have here today 🙂
Fab-u-lous Daaahling!!!
Love it….my kinda colour!
That is really a beauty of a polish. Love this on you. Your nails look beautiful. Stop staring at them, I know I would be. I have 95% untrieds. If I blogged I would go insane. I usually wear my polish for 3-4 days. No wonder I can’t get to wear them all. It doesn’t help that there’s new stuff always coming in! Have you decorated your house yet?
Love it in fact it looks liek it may be one of the possibles for my mystery colour!
Wow! Stunning just stunning. Love it.

It’s funny isn;t it that we have been wearing the same things! I absolutely love this – top ten!
It is [perfect for this time of year. Like mulled wine!
I know. I liked it in the daylight but it really came into its own under artificial light.
Hi Tuli and thankypu – it is such a good winter polish
Ahhh a Liz Hit! Yay!
Hi Lucy,
Yes we decorated our house a coyple of weeks ago as had people over for a Christmas party and wanted it to look festive.
I wish I had 95% untried. I am getting worried about running out and having nothing to write about!
Ooooh I’d forgotten about the mystery colour! Can’t believe we haven’t found it yet!
Hi Eliza! Thankyou! Hope work appropriate nails isn’t getting you down too much1
I just found this in my box and had forgotten I’d bought this. I don’t remember when I got it. It’s gorgeous! I’m wearing it now after Lincoln Park After Midnight lasted one day.
