Jewel of India hails from OPI’s long-discontinued Far East collection of 2000. This is a really vibrant plum toned magenta that in certain lights contains really pretty good shimmer.
I really like this shade and I could see myself using up the whole bottle on pedicures alone (not in one go, my toenails aren’t THAT big). What you’re seeing here is three coats and it dried to opaque and shimmery perfection.
A coat of Nubar’s Diamont and this was a really nice manicure that I had no problem sporting for a few days. It’s bright and shiny but just on the cautious side of vibrant, and as such this is perfectly work appropriate. It is from the same family as Kinky In Helsinki or Its All Greek To Me only without the mega blue flash that is so apparent in those.
So yes, it’s a hit. One of those classic pink shimmers that OPI does so well. I like this. The name does make me think of a local curry house though…
