OPI Burlesque Swatches

I can’t remember the last time there was as much hype, buzz and anticipation for a collection as there is currently surrounding OPI Burlesque. We all love OPI’s holiday collections, and Burlesque will be no different. You can certainly see the influence of the highly successful Alice In Wonderland glitters here.

I was so excited to receive three Burlesque polishes today that I did something I never do – race home to swatch these for you. Sadly, working over an hour’s drive from home meant that I missed what was left of the daylight so these are taken under artificial light. I will do full reviews with photos taken in natural light, but I didn’t want to wait for the sun to come out (we might have been waiting a while).

So here’s a first glance of three of these little Burlesque beauties.

Tease-y Does It. Did not photograph well tonight – I will come back to this asap. Rich reddish brown jelly packed with red and gold shimmer. Utterly beautiful, luxurious and definitely backup worthy. I love it so much that I think I may put it on now and not remove it until after Christmas. Two coats.

Show It & Glow It. OPI describe this as purple. It’s not. It is a hair darker than these photos show but it is certainly more pink than purple. Packed with silver, gold and blue glitter. Three coats.

Bring On The Bling. Gorgeous. Mainly gold, with blue, green and silver glitter. I absolutely love this. It might be a bit drag queen fantastic, but remember, this is a holiday collection, so OTT works. I can’t wait to do a full manicure with it.

So what do you think? Will you be getting any of these? All I can say is that I wasn’t sure the glitters would do it for me, but they are so well crafted, unique and sparkly that I think anyone would find them hard to resist. I’m certainly going to be putting more of these on my Christmas Lust – oops, I mean Christmas List.

The Burlesque collection will be released next month, and 15ml bottles will be £9.95 each from Lena White. These polishes were sent to me free of charge for review purposes.

  1. I am trying very hard not to want these and you are not helping! All three of these look amazing. Nothing I’ve seen has killed my lemmings for them!

  2. I’ll definitely be getting the three of these. All that beautiful glitter! I don’t mind if they’re hard to take off. They’re to sparkly and gorgeous.

  3. I loveeeeee teas-y does it! So much so that I didn’t even consider the removal difficulties as mentioned by Lucy above – last time I tried a glitter it was Barry M’s blue one and when it came to taking it off I literally looked like a disco smurf had exploded all over my hands for hours….not a good look!
