This exceedingly glittery affair is what I keeled over at the Glam Show yesterday. It’s the first Nubar I’ve ever tried and wow, what a fine one to start off with as well. It makes me thirsty for limeade!
Nubar also have a glitter polish in red, strangely identical to China Glaze’s Ruby Pumps and OPI’s Smitten with Mittens, which is annoying. Why bring out a colour the same as rival brands? Couldn’t they have gone for claret instead? Thankfully no one has mimicked Lime Green Glitter (as far as I know) and so it’s even more special.
I applied 4 layers for maximum coverage followed by a top coat to seal and it dried quickly. It looks a bit yellowy in the picture and again, it’s a shade that has to be seen as it’s rather difficult to illustrate in photos but oh my, I love it!
A coat of this over an emerald green shade would be a great way of vamping up up your nails or perhaps just on the tips as Helen demonstrated in other blogs.
It looks even nicer in the evenings and I think it would add a twist to Christmas over the usual red and dark green glitter nail polishes. What do you think, girls? Are you bold enough to try this?
It’s so fantastic! Looks amazing on you and I wish I’d bought it. I may order it tomorrow seeing as we have that voucher from the show.
I have Candy Apple which is lighter and less neon than this – it’s another gorgeous Nubar glitter. Love their stuff!
It does look sulphur-gold in the photo but you say the photo isn’t accurate.
I would try it but I’d want to layer it as you suggested.
It’s funny how lime green can look deceiving. It looks a bit garish in the picture actually. I noticed how you keep drooling over it, Helen! I like whacky colours like this and I reckon I will wear it to work tomorrow. No doubt someone will notice (as they usually do). The girls went potty over Ruby Pumps!
I LOVE IT! The color, the sparkly glitter.. it looks amazing!
You must get it, Tali!
There can never be too much sparkly red in the world! This one is lovely too though, the green-ness is quite subtle in the photo at least but gold is always good…
Sounds like my kind of colour
Lordy lordy that is awesome. Adding to my wishlist …
Fabulous! I picked up NYX Lime Sparkle over the weekend which appears to be a slightly more apple green version of this
Looks gorgeous on you Sheenie! I love polishes that are loaded with glitter.
Thanks, Lucy! Are you going to give this one a go?
