Max Factor Ruby Fruit

This nail varnish is quite special to me for two reasons. One of which is that it was a Christmas present from my grandmother (also a nail varnish fanatic, I’ve never known her to have short or unpolished nails….must be genetic).

The other reason I like this one is because it is the first polish with which I ever achieved a successful Konad. For ages I held off buying the Konad special polish as I was assured time and time again that I could use any nail varnish to achieve a successful Konad stamp. Errr, not for me I’m afraid. But for some reason, Ruby Fruit doesn’t le me down. I’ve never found another run-of-the-mill polish I can stamop with though. A bit inept, I think.

So what we have here is a pretty standard Rouge Noir dupe. These are ten a penny and there is no real reason why you should buy this over any other. Except that unlike the Chanel, this doesn’t chip after a couple of hours. Perhaps because it’s a perfectly constructed creme polish. This is two coats without topcoat and well, isn’t it shiny and pretty?

Ruby Fruit is still readily available. Why not go the whole hog and get yourself the matching lipstick as well? Or maybe not. This is definitely a better shade for nails than it is for lips.
