I think that this blog has given me expensive taste… but then again, which girl wouldn’t want to wake up on Christmas morning and find this waiting for them under the tree?

This is my first experience of Jo Malone’s famous perfume. I tried some of the shower gels and hand washes a few months ago, but this was an all-new experience, and I absolutely love the idea. Encased in a book-shaped box, you get four different scent mixes. Three of them are based on English Pear and/or Freesia, and you also get a small bottle of patchouli to spice things up a bit.
Whilst I’m not a scientist, I adore the idea of creating perfumes and layering up the different complimentary scents to suit either your preference or your mood. The fragrances themselves are light, airy and fresh. My husband adores fruit based scents, and he really likes the pear inclusion here. The freesia adds a good hint of floral for those who prefer their perfumes to lean that way.

Just think of the fun you can have combining the different bottles here. OK, at £72 it isn’t the cheapest set out there, but you get the benefit of the Jo Malone quality and presentation, and the ability to tailor the fragrance to your own personal taste. Much as I like the freshness of the English Pear and Freesia, I’ve got a feeling it might be hijacked by my husband, so I have my sights set on the Pomegranate Noir and the Grapefruit versions…
What do you think? Would you like to receive (or, indeed, give) this for Christmas? If so, more information can be found here – last ordering for Christmas delivery is on the 20th, so hurry!

I’d love to have this set. I adore perfumes. Shame they’re so darn expensive. I look at her perfumes online & that’s it.
