Here we have a reposting of one of my favourite shades from 2009.
Dior’s Lemon Balm was easily one of the best polishes that was released last year. Sadly for us non-Americans, it was a Nordstrom exclusive, and this was back in the days before Nordstrom started shipping to England. You will be pleased to know (although your bank manager might not share your delight) that Nordstrom have now begun to ship internationally, so hopefully if they gain more exclusives like this, we might be able to get our mitts on them directly, rather than having to rely on the kindness of friends over the pond.

Application wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped, for a $20 polish. The brush wasn’t tapered enough and left me with sooo much clean-up to do. Plus it pooled on the stick part of the brush. However…. subsequent to releasing this polish,
Dior have changed their brush, AND formula so expect better things from here-on in.
But it didn’t matter as the consistency is perfect. Two thin coats and I had no bald spots or dragging.
The blurb describes this as a “unique purple platinum”. It must be pretty unique, as a) I don’t own anything like it, and b) it’s kind of more brown than purple!
In direct sunlight it did catch some mauve shades but generally I saw it to be more of a brown/grey with lovely gold and pink shimmer streaking through it.
So there we have it. This was sent to me by Kelly from Vampy Varnish Thankyou Kelly for sending this on to me. It has gone Top Five as far as I am
concerned. Perfectly autumnal, and totally unique.
Now, stay tuned as in a couple of days, I will have a new Dior polish for you that should satisfy everyone who didn’t manage to pick up a bottle of this little beauty.
