I had the most massive lemming for this polish ever since clocking it on Mary‘s wonderful blog a couple of weeks ago.
Thankfully I didn’t have to wait too long to have this ambition realised as the fab Beauty Judy came to my rescue. As you may or may not know, China Glaze has just released a collection of something like 50 new glitters (oh yes) and this is one of them.
Although I did get accused of having blinging sandpaper on my nails, I actually don’t have an issue with that. I. Love. This. Polish. It is supremely Preciousss Slink-worthy.
Really I should have painted a coat of this over a nude polish but Stellar is a lovely thick glitter in a relatively opaque jelly. In three coats I was all
sorted and ready to go – no visible nail line at all.
I can’t begin to explain to you how spectacular this is. Utterly gorgeous. It is really glitzty and sparkly and I wish I could wear it all the time! As it was, I went three days before it started flaking off. I think a stickier base coat than the OPI Ridge filler I was wearing would have helped matters. Stellar didn’t chip or have tipwear until the end of the third day, when it started coming off in chunks.
I spent a good portion of the time I wore this trying to suss out what colour it actually was. In some lights it looked gold, and in others it was a beige shade with silver glitter. It’s like China Glaze designed this colour just for me.
If this is anything to judge the new China Glaze glitter collection by, then I’m going to have some really serious lemmings.
OK, so it took me about half an hour to get it off, but I really think it was worth it – stunning! In fact, here’s another photo!

That´s so beautifu, it suits your skin tone perfectlyl! As always with your pictures…I want it!
OMG I know, Stellar is so amazingly beautiful! Unfortunately it seems to be the only one if it’s kind in the new ChG glitters. 🙁 There are other beauties in there, but none with this kind of glitter. I did mine over two coats of a nude polish (RBL pink shimmer), which worked excellent.
This is an amazing looking polish on you. I bought the entire collection like a mad woman. I do love most of the glitters. There’s a few that are very sheer but I can put them over something else. Love all the glitz on your nails. They really look beautiful. There are some polishes that yo really hate to take off. One of the huge glitters from China Glaze took me an hour and a half to get off. Usually I don’t mind taking off the glittery polish. That one was ridiculos.
I love this one! It really is beautiful. Can we not get the glitters on any websites over here?
Ahh thanks Day – this is definitely one of my favourite polishes f all time – it does not disappoint.
Hi Sara! It’s gorgeous isn’t it? I have Atlantis and that is it from the new glitters. So far anyway – I don;t think I’ll get all 50 but there might be a couple more I pick up along the way.
An hour and a half! Oh no! I am so grateful for the nail soakers Brooke got me as they are brilliant for removing glitter.
Yes! You beat me to the post I was going to do. Radiantbabe has just begun to stock them! And she has the China GLaze Khromes too.
I think I’ll be getting a couple of the new glitters then, this one being first on my list. I’m so crap at being on a no buy, I keep breaking it!
