China Glaze Senorita Bonita

Good morning, everyone! I have a little treat for you today, in the shape of China Glaze’s Senorita Bonita. For some reason this polish had never actually registered on my radar until I was in Sally’s the other day, having a bit of a poke about to try and find something to make up a “buy two get one free” trio.

From China Glaze’s Island Escape collection of summer 2011, this is a really rather beautiful specimen. Like we always say, you can never have enough purple polishes, and this is definitely one of the good ones. I’ve read a few reviews where people complained that this was streaky and patchy but I can honestly say that I had no such problems. This was two coats and it covered absolutely fine.

This is a mid-toned pinky purple that is jam packed with orange and pink shimmer. This is the kind of shade that China Glaze does really well and just lights up on your nails. Luckily I had a bright sunshiney Autumn day to take these photos, and I really cannot wait until we get some better weather so that I can bring this one out to play.

I’m still puzzling over how this collection totally passed me by though. Did you get any of the polishes from it? I feel like I might need to go back and check what else I missed out on now!

Oh and apologies for the inevitable Madonna La Isla Bonita earworm that has just set up residence in my mental jukebox, and probably yours as well. Sorry about that. Oh well, a little taste of summer in December, why the heck not?

Helen

  1. Gosh, this totally passed me by! I’m not a lover of shimmers in general but have been getting into them more recently (mostly because I think my creme collection is saturated now!) this looks stunning and I will have to find it! x
