China Glaze First Class Ticket - Just Nice Things

China Glaze First Class Ticket

Read Time:1 Minute, 18 Second

Some of you may know that I try really hard to schedule my posts in advance. However, my glut (hate that word) of pre-written posts is now coming to an end as I have been flat out since Christmas and not really had a lot of time for blogging. So in the last few days I have been reuniting myself with a lot of the older photos and swatches in my collection, and finally getting round to writing the accompanying reviews.

First Class Ticket has been knocking about in my collection for a couple of years now. From China Glaze’s Vintage Vixens collection, I thought it was a navy blue jelly. Look at the bottle – it looks like a navy blue jelly.

So, you can imagine why I was rather surprised when I painted my nails with this blue polish, only to step outside in the sunshine (told you these photos were old!) and see that in fact, once applied, it turns into a rather lovely purple shimmer. Or blurple, if you will.

It is a tad frosty, so won’t be for everyone, but I rather like this. It is one of those wintery shades that actually work better in the summer, as the magical sparkle and ping really comes to life in the glare of some bright sunshine. I think this was two coats. Like most China Glaze on me, it chipped after a couple of days, but I’m used to that so it’s not really cause for concern.

Over to you. What do you think?

You said it all. It’s too frosty for me.

Plus the ‘is it blue or is it purple’ nature of it irritates me somehow. Having said all that – it does look good on you.

It’s a really nice colour. I really like blurple nail polish. Too bad China Glaze chips after a few days though.

I really like this one, but haven’t worn it for well over a year, so really should revisit – thanks for the reminder. Personally I don’t find most CG polishes I’ve tried to wear worse than others on average. I will have to pay more attention in future!
