As you may know, October is Beast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2010, to mark this event, China Glaze released a mini-collection called “Fight Like A Woman”.
A portion of the proceeds of this collection were donated to the International
Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is an agency of the World Health Organization.
The collection contained three polishes, one of which I have for you today. Empowerment is the glossiest, pinkest creme polish I’ve ever used. A million times better and less chalky than perennial favourite OPI Mod About You, Empowerment is a soft pink that many women of all ages will love. This type of shade is always fast to fly off the shelves, especially when it was released for such a good cause.
Application was absolutely fine, although I have heard other bloggers complain that it is on the thick side. I certainly didn’t find it as hard to work with as other China Glaze cremes (yes, For Audrey, I’m looking at you). One thing you do need here is a decent topcoat. Cremes always suffer when your bottle of Seche Vite (or similar) is a bit older and more gloopy. Use a nice new topcoat on this and you’ll have a perfectly shiny pink manicure.
Whilst this shade does absolutely no favours for my skintone, it’s still a nice polish. I know plenty of people who adore this colour and would pick it over a funky green or orange any day of the week. And it’s for a good cause – it’s a no brainer really.

I’m not a huge fan of pale, milky pinks as I don’t think they suit my skintone but this is beautiful! AND it’s for a good cause? Want.
Pretty shade of pink. I like this milky shade.
Love this shade!! So jealous of your nails, they always look so healthy 🙂
