So, the summer may be over (did it ever really begin?) but then perhaps some of you are taking advantage of the end of the school holidays and the cheaper package deals to go abroad. If you are, I envy you! Our house purchase has meant that nice things like holidays have had to go on hold for the forseeable future.
Anyway, enough of my whinging and more of this product, which I think would be absolutely perfect to pop into your suitcase to soothe and cleanse your skin after a hard day on the beach. Staying at home like me? Not to worry, this set is just as good when used in your own bathroom.
Yes To Cucumbers is a spin-off from the Yes To Carrots range, an ethical beauty brand that has been going five years yet already launched in 25 countries around the world. None of the products contain parabens, petroleum, SLS or phthalates. All the packaging is recycled, and they do not test on animals. My kind of brand! To find out more about Yes To… then just click here.

In the pack, you get sopme “natural glow towelettes” (face wipes, to you and me), some soothing eye gel and a moisturiser. According to the PR information, “sensitive skin will say Yes To Cucumbers – gently hydrating and soothing formulas packed with organic cucumber, aloe vera and green tea.” Sounds good, especially as someone who suffers from psoriasis and has to be careful what I put on my skin.
All three products are very nice. Light, zingy and cooling – they feel lovely on the skin and I had no reaction whatsoever. This is a huge relief to me. I don’t mind the scent of cucumbers as it makes me feel like I’m using a natural and healthy product. they absorb well and the wipes do a decent job of getting all the million layers of mascara off my lashes – no mean feat.
I like the brand. They have a huge range of products and I feel happy in the knowledge that anything I pick up from them will do a good job without aggravating my skin or smearing myself with harsh chemicals. Indeed, PETA has awarded it’s Beast Beauty Brand award to “Yes To…” twice now. So if you’re after cruelty-free, nasty-free skincare then look no further.
This set retails at £19.99 and can be purchased here, from Feel Unique (including free delivery). The entire Yes To range is readily available online and a quick Google will bring you up a number of etailers to choose from.
