Is it that time of the year again? So soon! Well before you go back to celebrating with your loved ones, Helen and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and the very best for the new year.
Thank you so much for supporting Just Nice Things – without you we couldn’t keep the blog going and guess what? We are entering the fifth year with Just Nice Things! How did THAT happen?
We would also like to thank all the brands and PR companies who have worked their socks off and been so gracious towards us.
2012 has been a momentous year – Helen got a new job (and she loves it!) and she looks amazing from those gruelling zumba classes, and I’ve overcome a massive obstacle with my health and wellbeing, which I have learned matters more than anything else.
But let’s not forget those less fortunate than ourselves whether it is illness or loneliness. If Christmas is a difficult time for you and you believe you’ve hit rock bottom, there is light at the end of the tunnel with others here to help. Please don’t keep it to yourself.
As someone who was ill last year, talking to others is half the burden lifted off your shoulders and I know I could not have made it through without speaking to friends, family, colleagues and professionals. We are fortunate to have such help around us – in some countries it is shunned or a taboo to address difficult issues.
