What’s new from Mavala?

Read Time:1 Minute, 54 Second

Good morning, everyone!

I have some lovely summery shades for you today from Swiss nailcare experts Mavala. Priding themselves on the fact that they have an excellent formula and that you can use the bottle all the way to the bottom, Mavala have released some gorgeous shades of late. Not only that, but the formula is is free from Parabens, Formaldehydes, Toluene, Camphore, Cellophane, animal ingredients and heavy metal. Fantastic! I fear that it is a brand that is often overlooked in favour of other brands, which is a shame as I certainly love their latest offerings (the Pop Art collection) and feel that they deserve more nail time.

Let’s take a look, shall we?

Touch of Provence was the colour that called to me from the initial line-up and I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed. A lovely mauve toned lilac, this covered in three coats and has some gorgeous shimmer that stops it from being just another pastel. This is very pretty, ladylike and delicate looking.

South Beach Pink is a staple pink creme. Similar to a million OPIs, this isn’t overly different or unique but once again the quality is excellent and this was two coats. It didn’t drag or bubble and I really do think that those with shorter nails could easily get away with one coat. It is a lot brighter than it looks in this picture as well – hot pink ideal for Summer.

My surprise favourite of the three I was sent to test out was Waikiki Orange. I might just have found an orange-toned coral that is the perfect match for my skintone. This is gorgeous and unashamedly bright. Not only does it have a great creme application, it is packed with unexpected micro shimmer as well. This was the sheerest of the three, requiring three relatively thick coats, but application was so good that I didn’t mind. As soon as I’d swatched this on my fingers, I immediately painted my toenails with Waikiki Beach. Gorgeous.

So, Mavala, I am sorry for neglecting you. It won’t happen again – not as long as you keep producing winners like this, anyway! Mavala polishes retail at £2.99 per bottle. For more information, visit the website here.

Mavala nail polish is only £2.99 per bottle? Wow! Then the chemist near my home which stocks it is over-pricing it. 🙁

I guess I can only hope that Debenhams will stock it soon, and at discounted price too. I always buy my Mavala nail polishes in Debenhams when they are on sale.

I like the lilac and the pink!
Waikiki Orange looks quite similar to Milky from the colour collection set.

Three really pretty polishes. Waikiki really looks amazing on your nails. Just your shade.

The lilac shade is gorgeous. I only own a couple of Mavala shades but I think I will be keeping an eye out for these new addtions to the range 🙂

Oooh – the lilac shade is beautiful! I really love mavala polishes – they always seem on trend but the size of the bottle means they don’t end up getting wasted and separating into goop through lack of use!
