Hi, everyone! What a week it has been. Firstly I changed internet service providers and a swish and swift fibre optic broadband was installed seven days ago only for it to pack up two days later. Cue lots of angry calls to SKY before a knight in shining armour called Paul with a Scottish accent saved the day and packed off an engineer to re-do the job the first engineer failed to complete!
Having no internet for almost five days has set me back considerably and delayed a number of posts from going live. *sigh* One of them is this one when at the weekend I popped down to Somerset House where London Fashion Week has been camping for Spring/Summer 2014.
Even if you don’t have a ticket for a show, London Fashion Week is pure gold for people watching. The grounds of Somerset House are awash with hardcore fashionistas, photographers and models as was the case when I was there on Saturday afternoon though I did spy one familiar figure, model/presenter Jameela Jamil (I had to jot down her name for an excitable Japanese tourist who would Google her later).
Any way I dropped into Toni & Guy’s Blow Out Bar, a regular fixture at LFW – and much needed after the downpour in London. April from Toni & Guy’s Westfield London branch gave my tresses a trim and I felt like a new person. Why can’t I get glossy hair at home, huh? It’s not fair!
Well, here’s the finished look (and I’ve not had my hair coloured since June!):
I’d like to thank Toni & Guy for inviting me to their Blowout Bar and for making this fashion misfit’s hair look fabulous and glamorous (unfortunately the same could not be said about the attire I sported at Somerset House).
London Fashion Week drew to a close tonight but fear not, it will be back in the new year for Autumn/Winter 2014.
