Regular readers of Just Nice Things will be thrilled to see the return of none other than male guest reviewer Sam! It has been a while since we had any male grooming products to test out, so it’s been a bit quiet on the Sam front of late. But here’s a little Christmas treat for you, as Sam is testing out a new aftershave from The Vintage Shaving Company, which sounds like it could be a winner for those of you looking to buy your stinky men a present for Christmas…

Shaving shouldn’t be this fun! What a product. With its red and white striped silver tin box, immediate thoughts are of a 1960’s barber shop and I almost expected it to come with a personal shave artist, but alas no luck!

What a little treat this was. With Christmas fast approaching I was keen to find a new aftershave

with a fresh and vibrant fragrance to it, and this Vintage offering was exactly that. Apparently it contains lemon, bergamot and lime.

Some aftershaves can be over powering and leave you smelling like Kat Slater’s handbag, yet this subtle and woody smell was a treat.

The bottle itself is quite attractive; nothing too fancy or gregarious, just a simple rounded design in tune with the Vintage Company style and products. The smell of the fragrance is long lasting and compliments the winter nights superbly, and has a touch of class to boot.

I would highly recommend this product for its clean  fragrance, and lovely undertones that don’t overpower in the way some aftershaves can.  Birds love it…

Thank you, Sam! The aftershave retails at £34.00, and more information on the rest of the brand’s offerings can be found here.
