The Body Shop does skincare pretty darn well. It’s simple, effective and always accessible. Its Vitamin C range is one I’ve not tried before until recently. With summer on the horizon, this collection is being championed hard by the Body Shop and they’ve plenty of reasons to do so.
Lately I’ve been trialling two new products from the Vitamin C family – the Glow Boosting Moisturiser* (£16/100ml) and the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer* (£14/100ml).
The moisturiser is the one that’s whipped me up into a bit of a frenzy. From the moment I unscrewed the lid, I took one look at the gel cream formula and was ready to surrender my face to it.
Housed in a moderate sized glass jar, it’s dubbed as the product to boost dull, tired and grumpy-looking skin into a natural healthy-looking glow. Lately I’ve been short of sleeping time so I’ve been depending on this to fool the unsuspecting individuals that cross my path. The lightweight formula sinks into the skin immediately and dries super quickly without leaving a sticky residue, so I can go straight onto my foundation. It feels so fresh as well, almost like it’s quenching your skin’s thirst so it’s hydrating and moisturising. You’ve got to be generous with applying – it’s not your usual pea-size cream – so slather it on and it will absorb quickly. The only down side is it doesn’t contain any SPF. Other than that, I adore how it injects life into my sleep-deprived skin without making a dent in my pocket.
The Instant Glow Enhancer is a different kettle of fish. It vows to revitalise skin with a fresh rosy tint. Good as a primer, skin feels silky and soft. The tint is barely noticeable so it certainly blends in with your natural skin tone but given the choice to take it or leave it, I’ll go with the latter as it didn’t do anything spectacular.
The Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser and Instant Glow Enhancer are out now.

I think I’ll be getting this the next time I’m at the body shop, I love the vitamin E line from them don’t see why I wouldnt like it. Great post !!
Thanks, Katie! I’ll be stocking up on the moisturiser and exploring the rest of the range. x
