Hold up! What is this – a new musk fragrance from the Body Shop? Uh-huh, it is. A year on after the evocative Red Musk dropped, here comes Black Musk* ready to spin you around.
Number five in the musk line-up, Black Musk is a ravishing blend of Bambinella pear and black vanilla notes, seductively sweet and sexy for autumn and winter. It offers another new twist on the Body Shop’s cruelty-free musk fragrance that’s bound to be popular with loyal fans as well as attract new ones. It’s not an overpowering scent, in fact it lingers gently making it perfect to wear every day.
A further twist is the bottle’s design is solid black instead of the usual frosted and transparent appearance of its predecessors. I get the impression that Black Musk has a more upmarket feel about it. It’s certainly a very classy scent so re-working the classic musk bottle design to fit with that makes sense.
Each of the Body Shop musk fragrances stirs up a different mood, which I love and Black Musk is filled with the right notes to make it this season’s must-have scent. In fact since I got this, I’ve not stopped wearing it.
The Body Shop’s Eau De Toilette is £18 for 60ml – as usual, it’s exceptional value for money. It’s also available as a 50ml Eau De Parfum for £22.
