Review: Diptyque Eau des Sens

Spring is officially here and Diptyque has a new fragrance to ring in the new season. Eau de Sens* is a zesty scent with orange blossom as its key note. It is typically Diptyque – soft, sophisticated and sensual.

As well as the sharp, crisp notes of orange blossom, there is also bitter orange, juniper berry, angelica and patchouli mingling and lingering. It’s quite a confusing blend of citrus and floral notes, designed to trick the mind and leave you entangled.

The first spritz takes you by surprise with its empowering impact before it unravels, releasing woody notes and getting beneath the skin. It is a very light scent so you are encouraged to apply it liberally. Because of its ambiguity, it’s the kind of fragrance that will sit comfortably with both sexes, fresh and breezy yet oozing eloquence – perfect to wear in the coming warm months.

Diptyque’s Eau des Sens is available from Space NK priced at £60 for 50ml and £80 for 100ml.
