The other evening, we were at the cinema to watch Saw 3D. Having seen all the other films in the Saw franchise, we thought we’d better make the effort and see what the last installment was like. Hmm. For those of you that haven’t seen it, let’s just say that it’s an interesting experience having pieces of small intestine fly out of the screen, towards your face.
But I am digressing, not to mention grossing you out unecessarily. The reason I’m talking about the cinema is because when I was there, I spied a poster for the new film, Burlesque. No trailer as yet, but a poster nonetheless. And I have to say, I felt excited. Not only does Christina Aguilera have a great set of pipes, the film also stars Cher, who I don’t recall having seen out and about for a long time. Hurrah!
So, here we have The Show Must Go On (which at the moment just makes me think of Moulin Rouge, another awesome piece of camp musical perfection). This showcases OPI’s ability to create a fabulous foil duochrome like no other. Flashy, loud and
unmistakeably festive, this is a real party polish.
Application was fine – this was three coats in the end, and I kid you not, it glows like embers. Utterly stunning. Once again, I saw this on other people’s blogs but I only actually realised its true beauty once I clapped eyes on it in the flesh. Glorious. It flashes orange, red and pink and is just eyecatchingly vibrant. Stunning.
It also wore like iron – something to do with the little pieces of foil just gripping on for dear life.

This is on its way to me at the moment and I can’t wait! I have MAC Bad Fairy which is quitw similar, but I decided I need both anyway.
As for the film, not my sort of thing, I’ll stick to the nail polish!
I adore polishes like this. Looks gorgeous on you. I have this on my list. I would love to have the whole collection. I can’t watch all those Saw movies. I think I watched 2 or 3. I love horror movies but just can’t stomach them. I am looking forward to Burlesque. I love Cher. She and Sonny came out when I was a kid. So everything thing Cher did I was fascinated with. I adored her long hair and nails. I still love her. Christine Aguilera is also fantastic. This should be great.
Wow, now this is a fun polish! Good for you. I agree that glitter polishes have great wear and they do grip like no one’s business. Very nice Helen! And YES I do want to see this movie….it looks quite rousing!
