OPI Tease-y Does It

Read Time:1 Minute, 44 Second

Desperate for glitter after a summer of less than interesting pastels and neons, the OPI Burlesque collection has quite rightly got everyone in a bit of a tizz. Unashamedly flamboyant and glitzy, it’s a definite change of pace from what we’ve been looking at in recent months.

However, the star of the show for me is this little beauty. I think it is destined to be the fan favourite of the collection as it can be worn all year round and is also work appropriate. Somewhat reminiscent of Nubar’s Raspberry Truffle from 2009’s Chocolate Truffle collection, Tease-y Does It is an utterly gorgeous brown toned jelly that is jam-packed with red, purple and gold shimmery flecks.

It’s more in-your-face than the Nubar and the reason I love this so much is because you don’t have to wait until you get under a bright light for the shimmer to bounce out of this polish – it is there All The Time. At last! I’m bored of hidden shimmer!

This is two coats. People with shorter nails would get by easily with one. Although the bottle has a slight duochrome aspect to it, this isn’t the case with the polish. It is a pretty straightforward brown that applies beautifully and dries fast.

These photos were taken on the fourth day, so there was tipwear but all in all, I didn’t think it was too bad, for four days. Maybe it was the topcoat? I’m not telling you which topcoat it is though  – I don’t want to ruin the outcome of my topcoat comparison findings!

So what do you think? Will you be getting this one? I strongly recommend it! It’s not often you get a vampy shade with shimmer that you can see all the time. And for that reason, it’s a huge hit with me.

The Burlesque collection will be released at the end of October (I don’t have an exact date yet), and 15ml bottles will be £9.95 each from Lena White. This was sent to me free of charge for review purposes.

  1. Like it. A lot. Raspberry Truffle was a huuuuuuuuge disappointment to me. I agree with you about the pastels and neons. Yawn. This goes on my list.

  2. Love this shade. This is one collection I may buy all of it! Looks gorgeous on you. Your nails are looking really lovely. Mine are shorter than nubins! Half my nails have lifted up off their bases. I think I read somewhere about leaving Blue Cross cuticle remover on too long. I did that twice. It’s taken a long time for a couple of nails to grow out. Now more lifted. I cut them down so short they hurt.

  3. grrr. everyone needs to stop with the burlesque shades! they’re GORGEOUS and i can’t afford them! swoon! man. lemming list for SURE!
