I was generously sent this to try out by Dawn from Radiant Babe. But why
am I clutching a bottle of Nail Envy in the above photo? Well, because, my friends, this version of Suzi Skiis is a miniature bottle. It made my hands feel like boxing gloves so I didn’t take any photos with my giant hands clammed round it.
This was the one polish I REALLY wanted to try from OPI’s Colección de España. I even had it on my Elfster list. And to be honest, I’m really grateful to Dawn for sending the miniature to me as she’s just saved me the best part of £10. Don’t get me wrong, it’s perfectly nice but just doesn’t stand out to me.
If you’re after an almost black OPI polish then my vote would have to go to
either Siberian Nights or Lincoln Park After Dark. For one that is definitely blue-toned, I do think Illamasqua Propaganda or Orgasm’s Hard Day’s Night are nicer, if you can get hold of either of them.
Naturally, for someone with big nails, I found the mini brush something of a challenge. I kept fretting that I was going to flick the entire thing out of my grip and launch it across the room. Thankfully no such thing happened, but I was a little nervous!
Anyway. So. I don’t dislike this, it just doesn’t excite me as much as I thought it would.
There’s nothing wrong with it at all – I just wish that the blue in it was more visible – most of the time it looks like a slightly off
black creme with a hint of grey.
By the way, I hope all of you taking ski trips over the next couple of months have a great time. Personally it’s not my bag. I like holidays to be warm, dry, with minimal exercise and multiple cocktails.

I’ve only worn this once since buying it when it first came out. I think I mentioned to you at the time how disappointed I was with it. Was yours really thin too? After 3 coats I still didn’t like it, which was a shame as it was the first time I’d been unhappy with an OPI.
Well, I think it looks fabulous on you! I am not a long-nail person but this is one shade that REALLY looks the business on long nails. It’s nothing special on shorter nails as I’ve seen it on a million other blogs but I’m going to be out of step here and say I love it on you.
Because of the extra length you can appreciate it. Hey, it’s a mini. You’ll probably never wear it again….
I do like this shade on you. It really looks more deep grey than whatever it’s supposed to be! Mini’s are hard to control. I also always drop the darn brush. Drives me crazy.
looks like a black jack that was left in teh sun and went oddly runny lol
I hate OPI minis they are the worst. Brush is ridiculously small and it is almost impossible paint my nails evenly. I cannot take enough polish in one stroke and must dipping brush in polish constantly grrr. And I don´t have very long nails, can´t imagine how it was with your lovely talons .-).
Definitely prefer Color club and Orly mini bottles.
It is nice colur, just nice.
Hate, hate hate OPI mini bottles. Did I mention I hate them? So I feel your pain, though my nails are much shorter than yours!
That said, I love this on you. I guess it’s a good thing you only got a mini though if you didn’t like it! I think it looks great – but then, I’m a fan of this color already.
You did mention it, which made me do this review sooner (yes really) as I wanted to see what I thought. I don’t remember it being really thin but I do remember getting a few bald spots and not being overly excited with the application or finish.
Thankyou Jen. I’m glad you like it. I’ve got to say, looking back at the photos, I like it more than I did when it was on. Silly, eh?
Lucy you are right – the brush was really tricky to control. And I have no idea what the colour is meant to be!
Britny, that is an extremely accurate analogy!
Hi Day! You’re right. I don’t own any other minis and I have to say, the OPI might put me off!
It’s nice not to have to spend a fortune to get the latest shades though.
So, what do you think of the OPI minis? 😉
