I am obsessed with this colour at the moment. Obsessed. I can’t explain why, but the hotter the pink, and the stronger the blue flash, the more I need it.
Kinky In Helsinki must be one of OPI’s most famous polishes – probably better known for the fab name than for the colour but I am utterly astounded by how fantastic it is. There’s something about these flashy fuschia shades that just really appeals to me.
This was actually a relatively recent purchase. I have a rather sizeable (cough) OPI collection, and yet for some reason it was lacking this polish. I don’t knowwhy, as I think it is one that everyone should own. Indeed, I actually own several that look pretty much like this, but Kinky In Helsinki is probably the strongest in terms of colour saturation and shine.
By the way, I know my nails are pretty short here. This post hails from the end of January, where I learned a nasty lesson about how NOT to pick up the weights in a Body Pump class.
So, this was three coats. Isn’t it glorious? Shimmery and in-your-face goodness. Just looking at the photos is making me want to put this on again. It is definitely a regular fixture on my toes, regardless of whether it is flip-fliop weather or not.
What do you think? Do you own this one? If not, why not?

OOOOOh that would make a good hot pink for my dog show nails.
At the moment I am using a Leighton Denny one. Lovely colour but me and Leighton do not get on. I have a set of four of his polishes and they all chip in less than one day of wear 🙁
This has been on my list of wants since I spotted a picture of a Scrangie wearing this as a pedi years ago. I don’t actually know why I don’t have it. I’m just going to have to get on and buy it now!
I bought this last year. Haven’t worn it yet. I can’t wear it just yet since my nails are super duper short. Darn, it’s such a gorgeous color. I’ve been wearing Let Them Eat Rice Cakes and I don’t have one chip. I’m shocked that it’s lasted so long! Grow nails, grow! I want to wear this polish.

I thought this colour was discontinued! Where did you buy it from? But I agree, I first bought it over 6 yes ago and it has always been a colour that has been my fave and when opi stopped doing it, I was gutted!!

Kinky In Helsinki was re-released a couple of years ago as part of OPI’s Colorcopia collection – it should still be available relatively easily on eBay etc. Hope you find one!
