We don’t really have bumper stickers in the UK, do we? Not like the way that the US do, with slogans and little comedy routines on the back of their cars and trucks. Instead, we get those tacky”small person on board” / “Mum’s Taxi” / “Daddy’s little princess on board” / “tiny ray of sunshine on board” signs. Like, I was going to casually drive into the back of your car but now I know there’s a child in there I won’t bother, thanks for the reminder. Now, I don’t have children, but I give you full permission to key my car if I ever, ever display one of those things.
I am far more likely to have a Honk If You Love OPI sticker. Because, let’s face it, I do. And here’s the polish of the same name. From OPI’s Touring America collection, this is a perfect piece of Autumnal vampiness. When I first swatched this polish, I did one coat. It was a little bit streaky but looked lovely.
This time I applied three coats, just to see what would happen, and as you can see here, it is far, far darker. This seemed to be the case for all of this collection – light in the bottle but way darker on the nail. In some lights, this appears as dark as other blackened plum shades like Lincoln Park After Dark, but in the light, you can definitely tell it has a purple base.
Applying like a dream, and lasting me a good few days, I really enjoyed wearing this colour. It is one of those “little black dress” (ok, purple, but you know what I mean) shades of nail varnish, as in that it goes with absolutely everything and always looks good. I inevitably select one of these shades when I’m having one of those “I don’t know what to wear” waily moments.

This has been on my to buy list for a while, along with the dark blue from this collection(do you have it?). I always go to these shades when I don’t know what to wear so I can see this becoming a staple.
I hate those baby/princess etc signs in cars!! Good thing I don’t drive, they would only give me road rage!
Yeah I hate those signs too, even the ones that say ‘Mother in Law in the boot’…mine might say ‘I brake for nail polish’ 🙂
