A little while ago (OK, last year), I did a little nail varnish and make-up swap with the ever-fabulous Scrangie. She was keen on trying out some GOSH polishes and a few other bits and pieces, and in return I gave her the brief of 
sending me anything she thought I’d like. And she did brilliantly. There’ll be various items from the swap making their way on here in the coming weeks, but this was one of the first items I reached for after opening the parcel.
I have a couple of Nina Ultra Pro polishes in my collection but shamefully, I have yet to try them. And now I’m annoyed for not trying them sooner, as this is one of the nicest varnishes I’ve tried in a long while in terms of application and finish.
The bottle isn’t that exciting but it contains a perfect brush and a creme polish of just the right consistency and pigment. What you see here is two coats, and although its a polish bloggers’ cliche, this practically applied itself. Zero cleanup, dragging or pooling. I applied a layer of China Glaze Fast Forward, and had a perfect shiny manicure in less than 20 minutes.
The colour is absolutely lovely as well. Not the most unique, perhaps but I can never get enough of these grurpley tones. It’s a greyer version of Models Own Purple Grey, or a browner Paradoxal without the shimmer. Let me let you into a secret – I actually wore this in November (yes, we’re still playing catchup on here) and I loved it for being a calming alternative to all the glitters, foil and crazy festive stuff I had been reviewing.

Yay, it looks amazing on you, I’m so happy you like it! Nina Ultra Pro is totally under-rated, though, sadly, I always forget to use mine because the bottle never catches my eye!
This looks gorgeous on you. I like this shade. I don’t own any of this brand. I don’t go to Ulta. It would be a very dangerous place for me. I think I’d just hand over my checkbook!
