I’m starting to realise that copper shades aren’t really ones for me. I don’t know why, as every time I see them in the flesh or on a website, I think to
myself that I really like it and want it, but then these really aren’t shades that I ever reach for on a regular basis.
Take OPI Charmed By A Snake, for instance. Probably one of the first polishes I ever bought (once I started becoming a
serious collector) and I still absolutely adore it in the bottle, but when I paint it on? Meh. I have a similar reaction to this, Models Own Proper Copper.
As per usual with Models Own products, the application andpigment are bang on. If this is the type of shade you like, then I would have zero hesitation in recommending this to you. A metallic shade that leans towards brown, it has a nice little bit of sparkle that plays on the surface.
It does go nicely with my skintone, and is beautifully opaque in a couple of coats – if anything it is a bit on the thick side, but actually, that’s a positive. Nothing worse than beavering away with a splodgy or too-thin metallic manicure.
So, what do you think? Do like these types of shades appeal to you?
