Misa Teddy Bear

I don’t think I’m one of those girls who is really into teddy bears. I’ve never really felt the need of soft toys and the like as gifts on Valentine’s Day, and I find greetings cards like Forever Friends and so on just impossibly twee.

Equally, I’m not really a fan of the namesake nail polish, Misa Teddy Bear. Funnily enough, my husband saw this bottle lying around in the house somewhere, picked it up and said “this will not be flattering to your skintone”. I was amazed. Finally after three years of my blogging, he has paid attention!

Any way, back to the polish. The colour is so-so. Not that interesting but if pale gold is your thing, then, well, that’s what it is. What I found really odd about this polish was the finish and the texture. Doesn’t it just look as though I’ve got horrendous sheet marks or stuck my fingerprints all over it?

Very, very strange, and not at all nice. It just looks plain manky. I know metallics aren’t at all flattering if your nails aren’t in the best of nick but actually, mine are doing pretty well at the moment – no more ridges than usual and fairly strong and unfrayed. The finish of this reminds me of those OPI Suede polishes that were big a few years ago, although I’m not sure how intentional the suede finish is here.
