I’m not sure if there was ever a nail varnish more appropriately named than this one. It simply is totally cool.
Despite reading about Milani products on dozens of US nail blogs, I didn’t ever really think I’d own one. So imagine my surprise and delight when I pulled this little beauty out of the package that was sent to me recently by Scrangie.
This was the one that really caught my eye and made me stand in the kitchen like a simpleton, ooohing and aaahhing as the bottle caught the light.
I do get nervous when a bottle holds so much promise, as you do tend to worry tht it won’t translate to the nail. I didn’t need to worry though as this is pretty spectacular.
I was concerned that it might be sheer, so I did paint this over an existing manicure, which I think I was right to do. The first coat
was very sheer, and I needed three to build it up to the spectacle that you see here. It is thin without being runny, and dries to a fantastic, almost chromatic finish. Beautiful.
This reminds me of OPI’s Merry Midnight, only better. This is more smooth and with uniform flakies rather than the hotch potch of different particles in the OPI. And that neatly brings me on to the best part of this polish. What I thought was purple, gold and orange glitter swirling around in the bottle actually turned out to be glass flecks. Almost flakes but not quite.
The effect is stunning. It is flat and smooth and not bumpy to the touch at all. it shimmers and pings in the light and I am extremely happy that the sun has
decided to get his hat on and enable me to show this off in all it’s fabulous perfection. I am also going to wear this til it drops off – something I haven’t done for some time.
We all know what good taste Scrangie has – and I’d like to thank her for choosing to send this one my way – totally cool!
Helen
