Not another nude palette! When will this insanity end? Clearly demand is still high for people too scared to branch out. It’s only make-up dammit! It comes off (unlike a tattoo). OK, I’ll lock away my soap box rant and talk about the newest palette from L’Oréal, which comprises of 10 nude tones specifically chosen by L’Oréal Paris make-up designers.
I have not tried the previous palette (Color Riche La Palette Eye Shadow Riche Rose) so I can’t compare on longevity of colours but I can tell it’s in a similar vein of being a collective of safe shades. There are no names for the shades, instead it’s simply described as a ‘symphony of 10 nude eyeshadows’. I suppose it wasn’t worth coming up with names for each one.
On appearance it looks rather fancy and enticing. It’s a combination of shimmer and mattes. Don’t be banking on high pigmentation, mind as some of the shades feel chalky. It’s fair to say I wasn’t feeling it when I was patting the powders on my eyelids. Wisely I used a primer AND NYX’s Jumbo Pencil in Milk for an extra boost. I think these colours would have been lost on my lids so a more neutral canvas was definitely needed.
(Urgh, lighting was very poor in the room this was taken.)

Those matte shades look surprisingly impressive!
The Beauty Locker
They’re not bad for £15, Bee! Worth looking out for offers in store as I have seen the palettes on promotion was less than £10.
Nude is my idea of hell.
It’s not going to be disappearing any time soon, Britny!
