I’ve barely had a chance to crack into Illamasqua’s Earth collection for the autumn season (which dropped at the end of August) when another one has landed under the name of Equinox. Purely limited edition, this winter collection came out a couple of weeks ago signifies ‘a desert at night’ taking inspiration from starry skies and things sparkly and celestial like.
There are a few new products added to Equinox’s line-up including a palette, nail polish, lashes and an additional Vintage Metallix in Antique Gold but it’s the lipstick in Vega that I took an aim for.
With the hydrating Glamore formula, Vega is a deeply intense burgundy/oxblood red lipstick enriched with moisturising Vitamin E. The colour is spot-on for this season’s trend and is immensely light and comfortable to wear. It glides on so well without compromising on colour pay-off and it stays put too – everything you want in a decent lipstick.
