Christmas is days away and while buying presents and preparing for the big feast is on everyone’s minds, it’s often the case that drinks fall by the wayside and we just slope towards safe choices.
House of Fraser has created the Cocktail Wheel featuring much-loved cocktail recipes paired with the right glass for the tipple of choice. so you can recreate your favourite drink at home and impress your guests at the same time. The finishing touch is the glass to make that drink all the more authentic.
Now I don’t drink but I do indulge in a mocktail when I’m out. Taking inspiration from House of Fraser’s Cocktail Wheel, I knocked up a non-alcoholic Margarita in a martini glass with three simple ingredients.
To make a non-alcoholic Margarita, you will need:
4 oz lemon juice
4 oz lime juice
6 oz carbonated lemon-lime soda
Serves 4
Dip the glass in lemon juice and then in salt to coat the rim. Then mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker or mason jar and pour into a glass. Add crushed ice and slices of lime for decoration.
If you’re partial to a Mojito, Sangria or Cosmopolitan, the Cocktail Wheel the recipes for these drinks and others, and right now, House of Fraser has glassware from Linea on special offer.
Merry Christmas, everyone and if you shake up some cocktails, let me know which ones!
