Asda, I must admit, has become a regular fixture in my life as I descend upon the supermarket (part of Walmart) every Sunday for my weekly grocery shop. It’s also well known in the UK for its own brand of fashion called George. Why George? I don’t know the story behind that but needless to say it’s couture on a shoe string budget. To be honest, it triggers off sniggers from any Brit you ask and thankfully it’s situated at the far end of the supermarket so I can avoid pushing my trolley through some heinous looking threads.
I have noticed George have a cosmetics range and of course I’ve always whooshed past it but then Charlotte of Lipglossing.com dropped this little bottle into the palm of my hand at Christmas. I stared at it. Then I stared at it some more. Raincloud, a pale grey made me feel somewhat dubious in if the quality could deliver and whether or not it would even suit my skin tone. Then I had a light bulb moment and realised it would colour coordinate beautifully with my tank-top. Result! And boy, was that the truth. Not did it go perfectly with my top, it went on smoothly and looks fantastic. However Charlotte does a far better job of illustrating Raincloud than my rubbish effort and her nails are gorgeous too (I’m so envious!) Please excuse any messes and a pen mark on the forefinger (got a little too excited at work).
No doubt you will have guessed the price of this is in line with George’s value for money clobber – it’s only £1.50. I’m going to Asda tomorrow and I’m definitely going to raid their nail polishes for I really want Indigo Dazzle and Superstar after seeing how amazing they look on Lipglossing.com. Please read Charlotte’s reviews on these and marvel at her perfect talons. Lucky minx!
