EOTD with Sephora Pro Lesson Palette

I’m finally getting round to using my haul purchased in Miami at the start of the year and as I vowed, I am going to share the results with you.

First up is a fabulous palette from Sephora’s own range – their Pro Lesson Palette that they’ve created with colours to suit particular eye colours except I chose to defy this and bought the green eyes palette for my brown eyes.  Sorry but the choice for brown eyes was awful and green got the best shades.

For $28 you get six quality shades that can be blended for a smokey, smouldering look or something more natural and a coffee shade eye pencil.  The packaging itself is solid and sturdy not to mention aesthetically pleasing with a big mirror – fantastic!

I think the palette is great for those who want to learn how to achieve new make-up effects and Sephora has illustrated a simple guide with instructions on the actual palette without the trouble of flipping between pages or looking for cards.  For the advanced, you’re free to play with all six shades and I’m sure people do come up with some amazing looks from it.

I used NYX’s jumbo pencil in Milk as a base which I can’t stress enough is an amazing product to compliment your eye make-up.  The shadows sit better and really pop in colour.  I used the top left beige shade in the inner corners, the dark green (second left) on the eyelids and blended the dark purple and ruby red from the right side on the other corners.

The quality of the eyeshadows is brilliant with little fall-out and what you see in the images is following 9 hours of wear with no touch-ups.  The shadows also blended together effortlessly – truly I am impressed with Sephora’s own (affordable) range.

Quite a few people complimented me on my eye make-up on the day and asked what eyeshadows I was wearing including the Chanel lady at Harrods, who then started to reminisce about when Sephora was in the UK…  Timing was wrong but now Sephora would make a killing.  When are you going to make your comeback, Sephora?  I can’t keep hopping on a plane and flying across the Atlantic for you!

Have you tried these Pro Lesson Palettes?  Let me know what you think of them!

Moody or fed-up – I can’t decide.

  1. Thank you, Lauren! I am wearing mascara – this one is Blink & Go. I can’t say I’ve noticed anything different about it. Bought Benefit’s They’re Real but I didn’t think it did much for me. Lancôme’s Hypnose Drama is amazing – my favourite. I may have to do a mascara comparison post!

  2. Safiyah, I’ve not even sharpened it for the first time and already I am thinking about buying back-ups!

Britny, impressive how these shadows hold up for so long. I am looking forward to attempting some other colour combinations now.
