This is another one of the polishes I got in my swap with the lovely Kitty.
Joust For Kicks is a gorgeous rich chocolate brown, with inner gold shimmer. It is simply stunning.
What I love about this polish, aside from the fact that it only costs about $2.50 is that this was one coat! Diamond seem to have hit on a great formula, easily as good as any of the premium brands, and for a fraction of the price.
The one coat I did went on
beautifully. The brush is the perfect size, picking up just the right amount of polish and also resulting in zero clean-up. You really could slap this on before going out – no mess, no fuss.
I’m sorry about my constantly lumpy middle nail. Tragedy struck last night when I couldn’t find my nail buffer. It seems to look worse in photos than it does in person, if that’s any consolation!
And here’s the close-up. This is a really striking polish and certainly wouldn’t look out of place in the China Glaze Rodeo Diva collection. Warm, shimmery, easy to apply, and cheap. What’s not to like?
It’s not pictured here but I’m currently getting stuck into a bottle of pink champagne. Bit decadent for a Friday night in front of the tv perhaps, but we’re still making our way through all our engagement gifts (mainly booze and chocolate), plus I’m celebrating some good news at work today. What a great way to start the weekend!
