Color Club Pucci-Licious

Spring must be on the way. Although you wouldn’t necessarily know it from looking outside, I know it’s coming because I’m starting to crave brighter colours.

And they don’t come much brighter than this. Pucci-licious is from Color Club’s Poptastic collection from last Spring. Remember last month, when I showed you the fantastic Warhol? Well, this is from the same collection. Pucci-licious doesn’t quite run to neon, like many others in this range, but that’s fine by me as it’s great enough as it is.

Two coats was absolutely perfect and this was one of the best behaved nail varnishes I’ve ever used. It dries to a slightly strange satin finish which is good news in that it dries fast, but does look a bit unusual. I dont mind that though – I spent a day with it looking kind of matte, then added a topcoat the next day to shine it up a bit.

OK, so the name makes me cringe, but really the colour is spot on. It does remind me of some of the vibrant lilac shades in Emilio Pucci’s famous designs, and had I had more time and better light, I might have been tempted to try some nail art inspired by this.

I can’t wait to wear this on my toes in the summer – I think it will look wonderful with a pair of silver sandals.

What do you think? Are you ready to rock the bright shades yet?

  1. Neon matte/satin. Looks good on you but still one of my least favourite combos.

I’m still in vampy mode but leaning towards lavender for my next mani.
